Lumo Homes has joined the supporters of the Shed Foundation (Shed Säätiö). Through this support, the foundation can continue and further develop its work in providing safe, inclusive and encouraging musical theatre opportunities for children and young people.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Shed Foundation has welcomed new donors to support its activities. Alongside Lumo Homes, Finavia, Posti and Terveystalo have joined Elisa, Food Camp Finland, Helsinki City Theatre, Merilampi, Nokia, Icecapital and TW-Laskentapalvelut as supporters of the foundation.
The Shed Foundation promotes diverse youth work that takes children with special needs into account and, together with its partners, produces musical theatre activities and events. The foundation’s mission is to provide children and young people with a safe environment in which they can grow, discover their strengths and be seen and valued as their authentic selves. Over the past ten years, more than one thousand young people have participated in Shed’s activities.
The foundation’s supporters share a common goal: to make musical theatre accessible to an even wider range of children and young people, regardless of their background, and to offer experiences that create lasting positive impact. The patron of the foundation is Mrs Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
“Supporting a safe and encouraging environment for children and young people to grow is closely aligned with both the values and the mission of Lumo Homes, where we work together to create better urban living,” says Reima Rytsölä, CEO of Lumo Homes.
The premiere of Shed’s latest production will take place at Studio Pasila of Helsinki City Theatre in December 2026.
