The European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) has awarded Lumo Homes the highest level of recognition, Gold, for its sustainability reporting. This is the third consecutive year that Lumo has received the recognition. Lumo’s financial reporting also once again achieved Gold-level recognition.
Each year, EPRA assesses the reporting of listed European real estate companies against EPRA’s reporting recommendations and Best Practices Recommendations. The awards assess, among other things, the completeness, transparency, comparability and consistency of reporting.
The sustainability reporting for 2025 marks the conclusion of the first sustainability programme period launched by Lumo in 2020. Sustainability reporting has been developed systematically and consistently throughout the programme period.
“EPRA Gold is recognition of years of work to develop our sustainability reporting. The Gold-level recognition reflects the quality of our reporting, but for us the most important aspect is how the information generated through reporting is used to develop our sustainability work. High-quality data helps us monitor progress towards our targets and identify areas where we need to improve,” says Elina Ekelund, Sustainability Manager at Lumo Homes.
Lumo’s new sustainability programme was introduced in March 2026. The programme’s six targets relate to reducing emissions, energy and water consumption, waste recycling, personnel, and residents’ safety and comfort.
“In the new sustainability programme, we have clarified the targets and assigned ownership of them within the Management Team. This ensures that monitoring sustainability performance and advancing our targets are even more closely integrated into business management,” Ekelund says.
The programme supports Lumo’s strategy, renewed at the beginning of 2026, which includes a strong commitment to sustainable urban living as one of its key focus areas.
The 2025 reporting marks the end of one phase, and the new sustainability programme will take sustainability work forward into the next period.
