Kojamo plc: Lumo Kodit to start construction of 72 apartments in Suurpelto, Espoo
Lumo Kodit Oy has agreed with Rakennuspetäjä Oy on the construction of 72 new apartments att Henttaan puistokatu 16 in Suurpelto, Espoo.
A four-to-five-storey building with underground parking facilities will be constructed at Henttaan puistokatu 16. The apartments will include studio apartments as well as two-room, three-room and four-room apartments. The building will be connected to a modern, environmentally friendly waste collection system.
Suurpelto is a developing area along the Kehä II road. Services in the area include a Finnish- and English-language comprehensive school at Opinmäki campus, a sports hall, a library, a day care centre, and a shopping centre. Public transport links and services in Matinkylä are also nearby. Suurpelto, located next to Espoo Central Park, offers outdoor activities and services that make everyday easier for small families. The new Lumo apartments will be completed in March 2022.
The investment supports Kojamo’s strategic growth in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Kojamo’s strategy is to invest heavily in increasing the housing supply in Finland’s growth centres, where the demand for rental apartments is on the rise due to urbanisation and the increased popularity of rental housing.
